Muurla

A two-language WooCommerce migration, a new Shopify storefront and a custom Visma Nova integration brought Muurla’s DTC ecommerce, physical retail, seasonal stores and international B2B sales into one connected commerce operation.

Background

Muurla is a Finnish design company originally known for glass manufacturing. Its current home and kitchen range serves consumers and resellers through ecommerce, a permanent store, seasonal stores and B2B relationships in Finland and export markets.

The previous store ran on WooCommerce. As sales channels and international operations expanded, maintaining products, prices and inventory in disconnected systems became increasingly labour-intensive.

Challenge

The platform had to move from WooCommerce to Shopify without losing products, customers or organic visibility. The store needed Finnish and English content, controlled redirects and a clearer operating model.

Visma Nova remained the source for products, prices and inventory. B2B commerce required contract pricing in two currencies, while international sales needed customs data and market-specific tax handling. Retail and ecommerce inventory also had to stay distinct but current.

Delivery

We built the new Shopify storefront, migrated customers and bilingual product content, and protected search visibility with comprehensive 301 redirects. A production-grade integration moves product data and inventory from Visma Nova into the correct Shopify locations and transfers every order back with the appropriate order and tax classification.

Separate B2B catalogues provide contract pricing in each market’s currency. Customs codes and countries of origin flow to product records, Shopify POS connects physical retail, and idempotent processing, retries and visible failure states keep the integration recoverable.

Impact

Muurla now operates DTC ecommerce, B2B and retail through one connected Shopify setup. Product, price, stock and order data move automatically, customers see dependable availability and the migration retained organic traffic.

The business can add products, customers and markets without rebuilding the architecture, while operational teams have clear tools for handling exceptions.

Working with Growly was remarkably straightforward from the very first contact. We received a response almost immediately and the proposal arrived the following day. Delivery moved quickly, and after launch we have continued to receive fast support and well-considered solutions whenever needed. 5/5.
