Fitwood is a Finnish wellness brand focused on design and functionality that manufactures high-quality exercise equipment suitable for interior decoration. The brand is known for its minimalist style, durable materials and Nordic design. Fitwood's customers include both individuals and businesses that value quality and aesthetics -- the online store plays a key role in serving both target groups.

Development brought problems

Fitwood used to use WooCommerce, but over time, the technical base of ecommerce began to fail. Even small changes created unexpected problems -- the so-called “house of cards effect” made development more difficult and increased risks. At the same time, updating content and products was laborious, and the user experience no longer met the needs of a growing company — neither from the customer nor the team's point of view.

Growly designed and implemented an all-new Shopify online store for Fitwood, covering both consumer and business customers. We did a comprehensive data migration from the old WooCommerce system and built two separate purchase channels:

  • B2C online store that serves consumer customers with a quality user experience and a brand look
  • A B2B portal that enables sign-on based purchasing, customer-specific pricing and a smooth ordering process for businesses

The project also took into account the ease, speed and scalability of content management for future growth needs.
